In view of the recent information on the first COVID-19 positive patient in Meghalaya, Curfew is promulgated under Section 144 CRPC for tomorrow the 14th April, 2020 in the District. No movement of individuals or vehicles will be permitted. No inter-district travel will be permitted. Markets will also remain shut for the day.

Whereas, in view of the Press Release issued by the Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya vide No. CSIPR /2014/29, Dated 13^th April, 2020, regarding a COYID -19 positive case detected in Shillong and in continuation to order under section 144 Cr. P.C issued by the District Magistrate, South West Khasi Hills District vide No. SWKH/DLT/2018/05-1304, Dated 13^th April, 2020, and in order to put in place more preventive and mitigation measures to identify and take more stringent steps so that the COYID-19 Pandemic does not reach or spread in South West Khasi Hills;

Whereas, in view of the prevailing situation concerning COVID – 19 in the country, state and globally,
And whereas to put in place preventive measures and to take steps to ensure social distancing so that the pandemic of COVID – 19 does not spread to South West Khasi Hills District Meghalaya by way of observance of strict protocols of the advisories issued by Government of Meghalaya and the Health & Family Welfare Department;
