DAY-NRLM
Ajeevika-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) was started by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India in the month of June, 2011. This mission is supported by the World Bank. This Mission aims to bring about development, improvemnt in livelihood in rural areas through the setting up of Groups/Institutional platforms which act as linkages for the Government to grant financial aid, savings, investments and so on. NRLM aims to aid around 7 crores of households from around 600 distrcts, 6000 blocks, 2 lakh gram panchayats and 6 lak villages across India though Self Help groups (SHGs) or through other organizations which are helping or supporting them in areas of Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Economic Activities for around 8 to 10 years. In accordance to this, NRKM aims to help the poor by bringing about ecomonomic development by uplifting the society together with the availing of facilities as per rights. NRLM believes that through developing the collective efforts of the villagers and empowering them through technical and financial khnowledge and skills will in turn lead to development of the nation as a whole.

Self Help Groups from rural areas, especially those comprised of women.

Through a public meeting, SHG mobilization by the office of NRLM from respective BDO Office.
